Position Purpose: To transport lab specimens to the appropriate medical facility for testing. As well as, to deliver clotting factor to HOC patients.

Position Purpose: To transport lab specimens to the appropriate medical facility for testing. As well as, to deliver clotting factor to HOC patients.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age. High school education or equivalent. Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and excellent driving record.
Expectations:
To be available when needed for transport of specimens and for deliveries of clotting factor.
Responsibilities:
- Transport laboratory specimens from HOC to designated medical facilities for testing using a company-provided vehicle. All specimens are secured in approved transport containers; the courier does not directly handle specimens. Receiving facility staff are responsible for specimen handling upon delivery.
- Deliver clotting factor products from HOC to patients as needed. These deliveries are completed via hand delivery using a company vehicle.
- Obtain a signature from the recipient at the time of delivery using a copy of the original invoice. Ensure the signed copy is returned to the HOC clinic/billing office promptly.
- Maintain appropriate environmental conditions during transport by protecting clotting factor products from extreme temperatures while in transit.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Travel: Traveling is expected with this job as it relates to the deliveries of specimens to the appropriate medical facility for testing and factor deliveries to patients.
